As fires rage through our region, fire fighters come from near and far...

The guys and girls from the Rural Fire Service and the NSW Fire Service are often joined by other agencies to help in any way possible.

During large fires, the SES are called to help provide welfare, transport as well as personnel to man the roadblocks. The various GRN talkgroups that the SES use can be found elsewhere on www.newcastlescan.com

St John Ambulance are available to set up first aid posts at "Staging Area's" to ensure any injuries are attended to. In our region, St John Ambulance can be monitored on the following frequencies - 78.6875 and 79.525 and sometimes on 84.150.
