Mayfield Fire
I was having a nice quiet morning, my scanners are running as they normally do. Suddenly I heard "RESCUE 260, RED RED"
I knew that there must be something happening. There was a house on Fire in Mayfield.
I called Mick straight away to see what he was doing. He had just dropped his girlfriend off at work, he also heard the call and was on his way to get some pics. We used our two way to organise ourselves, I was recording while Mick was getting the pictures.
A quick response by appliances from 260, 320 and 357 ensured that the house was saved. HazMat 260 and the Operational Commander also arrived at the Sunderland Street residence.
Ambulance crews and police from Waratah were also on scene, ready to do what ever was needed.
Once again, it was great to see our local emergency services working together to serve the community.
